Slowly but surely! Always a skinny minnie - till I had kids, that is! Very insidious how that weight seems to creep on...But it's coming off, slowly but surely, with lots of encouragement, and keeping busy, busy, busy! With a new grandbaby AND a GREATgrandbaby on the way, I want to be in shape to enjoy them! And show them that your own health and well-being is a responsibility!
Fast forward to May 2012 - Will be 61 next week, now have 9 grandbabies and two great grandchildren! Weight loss has stalled a little, but I'm getting back on track, a little more realistic about the process and hoped-for results. Just spending time being grateful for all that I have been blessed with, including all my SparkFriends!

Watching portion size is important for me. And constant nibbling - not a good thing. I have found that journaling what I eat really DOWS work so I will continue with that. I am also getting back into doing yoga and tai chi. Starting Nordic walking again (had started that a couple years ago, then went and shattered my ankle...) also. On my way!
I'm 60 (61 on May 15), have a hubby, three kids, and nine grandkids, and two great grandchildren. I'll never live long enough to do all the things that interest me, so I have to keep myself healthy - puts the odds in my favor! And I want to be around to watch all these grandkids grow up - and grow up healthy!
