It's time to practice what I've learned.

I've learned so many great tools here on SparkPeople, and now is the time to do the work that it requires. Yes, it does take a commitment and not just the knowledge. If I keep putting if off until tomorrow, I can't expect results until tomorrow. So here's to having a positive day today.

My Goals:
My first goal is to get below 174, so that I can get out of the obese category on my BMI.

My second goal is to get below 145, so that I can be in the 'normal' range on my BMI.

My Program:

I started to track all my food and my exercise on the trackers. This is really helping me.

Personal Information:
I live near Antigo, WI, in a beautiful rural setting. I love being outside in the summer, but not so fond of the cold weather.

You're right and that is exactly why this has been on my mind. We are made up of a lifetime of experiences....good and bad, and our perceptions and reactions to those experiences. While we struggle to make changes in the today of our lives, it seems as though today is all that matters but our yesterdays matter too. For instance, food was love in our home, dad always said he liked his girls plump (great) we had to eat what was on our plate and the plate was dished up by our parents so you know how that was...LOL and if we were hurt or sick or when we were being rewarded for something, it was always food...chocolate, ice cream pizza...all the hugs of my childhood. Is it any wonder these things play such a huge role in my life today? I don't blame my parents but it's important to see things for what they are and to let go. This is a form of meditation for me.

Thank you, I can share because I know we've all been there with similar emotions for one reason or another and the secret is knowing that we can control our reactions at least to some extent and get over that initial over reaction. LOL
