How nice to hear from you here!! I'm sorry for your dad's diagnosis. It is heart breaking to watch. A psychiatrist recently explained dementia in a way that really helped me understand. He said the brain does all it can to survive. When it becomes confused and forgetful, it begins to function in a fight or flight manner. I know for us, my stepmother keeps wanting to run away and when we stop her, she becomes all kinds of abusive. We waited too long for Memory Care. Look into things now. Get a good lawyer versed in Elder Law to help you navigate the finance part. I wish we had done those things earlier.

My stepmother had a small stroke yesterday and spent the night in the hospital. She hasn't eaten for at least 24 hours. I'm not sure what will happen now but she is 93 and certainly not the person we knew. As long as she does not have to suffer.

Hope other parts of your life are going well!!
