Here's to 2012 Being the Best Year Yet!

I am 24 and have been struggling with my weight for as long as I can remember. I was always the chubby kid in school, except for a few years in highschool where I somehow managed to lose all my baby fat but still felt that I wasn't thin enough. So basically, I have spent most of my life wishing I were smaller and although I was exercising quite a bit, it wasn't until I changed the way I ate that I actually started losing weight.

Since seriously comitting to Sparkpeople in January ...
I am 24 and have been struggling with my weight for as long as I can remember. I was always the chubby kid in school, except for a few years in highschool where I somehow managed to lose all my baby fat but still felt that I wasn't thin enough. So basically, I have spent most of my life wishing I were smaller and although I was exercising quite a bit, it wasn't until I changed the way I ate that I actually started losing weight.

Since seriously comitting to Sparkpeople in January 2010, I have managed to lose between 20-24 lbs depending on the week/day. I had stopped tracking my food because I felt that I was doing well and didn't need to anymore as I was between 121 and 126 from about September 2010 to September 2011. I think I can attribute that success to healthy eating (because I was living on my own and could really control what I ate) and a high-stress life of doing Masters studies (not exactly healthy...).

Since being back home mid-August 2011 I know I have gained weight even though I haven't weighed myself because my clothes are tight. I am NOT happy with the way I look and am determined to get back on track. I know working out is not the problem because I am pretty consistent with working out 4-6 days a week. It's the diet that's killing me. I need to make healthier food choices and be more aware of what and how much I'm eating. 2012 is a new year and I am determined to make it the best year of my life health/fitness wise!

I've decided that I am not going to weigh myself for a while. I am going to take progress pictures and measurements instead and base my fatloss on a pair of jeans I own that I fit into last year. The scale just depresses me and it isn't always accurate.

I am looking forward to moving out in March and being back in control of what I'm eating and also being able to try new exciting recipes with my boyfriend. I think this will make a big change in how I feel and look. I'm also looking forward to keeping up with bodyrock this year and running a half marathon with my sister!

My Program:
Bodyrock 5 times a week.

Skipping following my bodyrocking at least 3 times a week.

Other cardio (Jillian Michaels, P90X Kenpo X 1 day a week).

Running minutes 2-3 days a week.

Yoga minumum of 3 times a week.

Eat healthy, only drink water, tea, and coffee (without sugar) (except for the occasional drink on a night out...)

Umm did you read my mind- thats what I got today...

I somehow said to myself well fast food breakfast is ok its fastfood for lunch and dinner thats not ok.. haha I think I took crazy pills this morning.. I adjusted the rest of my meals though so I am in range.

But it was DELISH!!!!!

Hi!! Thanks for your comment on my page!!! The challenge is going well so far!! I see you are on a calorie cycling team, are you doing that now? I have done that in the past, and I an doing one "high calorie" or "splurge" day now, which seems to be working pretty good so far!!!!

Hey Cat! Thanks for checking in. I had a really lousy couple of days there. Who knows where that came from? Feeling way better today. Glad you are, too!
I'm sticking with and still loving the CTX/TF hybrid. How about you? It's really fast--I'm definitely stronger already. I can see it a tiny bit in my arms, but need to get a bit slimmer for anything to show up anywhere else

I picked out a 10K race for August 11. Do you know which race you're headed for? You're going to be speedy. I'm super pleased with 10 minutes miles, still. Who knows what August will bring?

I am doing Fruits and Veggies :)

I dont think I could do No chocolate- I think I would end up eating twice as much because I said I cant!
