I began on Sparkpeople in July 2009 at 192 lbs. In late 2007, I was as high as 203. I am now down over 60 lbs. in five years. I went from a size 18W to a size 8 in pants, and a 1X to a Medium misses on top. My bra size went down from a 42DD to a 36 D.

Mixing up your plan is important, as is exercise. I also think you shouldn't believe anyone who tells you that you won't be hungry as you're losing weight. You shouldn't be starving, but some hunger is going to have to be expected. Your body needs time to adjust to reduced calories. It takes hard work and determination.

One other thing - you need to listen to your body. In an ideal world, I'd like to be 135 lbs. Well, there is no way I'd maintain that. Then, I had this hard goal of 140 lbs. It had to be this rounded figure. However, my body has made it clear that 141 is about as low as I can maintain. I have accepted that. I look good. I am slender. No need to lose any more.

Recently (fall 2012), I gained a bit of weight due to Thanksgiving. I got back up to 147. Anyway, sadly, I got food poisoning and lost 6 lbs. again. Like I said, 141 seems to be my floor. I get compliments all the time on my figure, am even told I am "skinny" by people who were used to seeing me overweight. I know my weight is healthy, and I am good with it all.

My Goals:
Finish losing the weight so I can stop dieting. Ugh.

My Program:
Watching what I am eating and continuing my 90 minute a day program.

Personal Information:
My favorite workouts are yoga (Yee, Deason, Bikram); Windsor Pilates, Hot Yoga (Bikram Style), Leslie Sansone and I mix in some of the Power 90 stuff. I also walk at least 30 mins a day, when I am not running or doing the hot yoga.

Other Information:
I am an advocate for a living and am passionate about politics.

I am also increasingly passionate about fitness!

My dad is doing much better!! Unfortunately he won't be able to work anymore, but he is finally on the right meds and knows what was wrong with him so he is feeling better.

Hey. :) Hopefully you are right!! My dad is doing better. It turns out he had severe anemia and had to get some blood transfusions. We are hoping he can come home this afternoon!!!
