It's true, Cassidy, I have had days now and then where I actually fell below my minimum of 1200 calories! I don't like to do it, but sometimes I just don't feel like eating anything else; and I do feel that if you don't eat enough, your body will slow its metabolism to make up for it. It's afraid you might starve.
To be perfect we would all plan our meals out ahead of time, and then we would get the right amount of carbs, fat, protein and whatever we were after. I'm not that efficient. I can be efficient, and I know it works like a charm because I've done it before. But most of the time it's a lot of work! Of course you should plan on having wheat pasta, or brown rice, veggies and protein besides drinking all that water and other liquids! The best bet for me is to buy several cans of the Campbell's Chunky Healthy Request Soup or Progresso -- but be sure to read how many calories are in 1 cup and don't think that means the whole can. Also it is very important to read how much sodium. I just found several that have only 410 g sodium, which is great. Cause if you get too much sodium you will gain weight because of retaining water. And give yourself an extra slice of 100% whole wheat bread to so with your soup -- it's things like this that add up to healthy living, instead of putting junk in your system. For snacks fruit or veggies are preferable. 1831 days ago
