Coffee! Is the planet shaking or is it just me?
Shared Food & Fitness Trackers
When I was in my late teens and early 20s, I was fairly active. I skied, played squash and tennis, took my bicycle on long trips, etc.
And then came marriage and the babies. I ended up in a situation where I could just not use a sitter for one of the kids, so my social life and physical activities pretty much vanished for many years.
And nearly 20 years later, I found myself with bad knees and really low on muscle mass. I couldn't even climb a ladder or walk up and down stairs normally.
In June 2007 I embarked on a mission to get back my lost muscle. And then it happened. I found out I was addicted to building muscle! (I just wish the progress was faster.)
When I joined SP in early Jan '08, I thought my goal was to "see my abs". I later resigned myself to the fact that will never happen. Later, my obsession became my shoulders.
But really, what it all boils down to is, I love how healthy I feel and how much more energy I've got. And that I can walk up and down stairs like a normal person now. And hills won't kill me when I'm hiking. If I never get the shoulders, back, abs etc, it really doesn't matter.
