Finding myself again

This year I turn 40. I've been dreading it for more than a decade, but now - since there is no escape - I'm viewing it as a challenge to myself to be better than I was in my thirties. The thirties were difficult in many ways, and I lost myself somewhere along the way.

But now, I'm back. I've renewed my focus and I am regaining control of my life. I want to be healthier by limiting portion sizes, exercising regularly, and spending more time appreciating what I have and ...
This year I turn 40. I've been dreading it for more than a decade, but now - since there is no escape - I'm viewing it as a challenge to myself to be better than I was in my thirties. The thirties were difficult in many ways, and I lost myself somewhere along the way.

But now, I'm back. I've renewed my focus and I am regaining control of my life. I want to be healthier by limiting portion sizes, exercising regularly, and spending more time appreciating what I have and recognizing the beauty in life around me. Of course, I also want to lose some weight (I'm still carrying "baby weight" and my youngest is 5).

I know I can do this if I put my mind to it. (I lost 25 pounds a few years ago with SparkPeople, but then life became too hectic and I didn't maintain the lifestyle.) I want to be fit and fabulous at 40 - not flabby and frumpy. This time, there's no stopping me!

My Program:
I'm trying to stop snacking and start making healthier food choices. In addition, I need to exercise more --- chasing my kids doesn't seem to be enough!

Welcome back... I'm trying to do better also.. I recently just gained 10 pounds due to stress and not eating good or working out.. But I'm back on track...

Here we go again!!! I stopped tracking my food last summer too. I realized this week when I started tracking again, just how much must have been eating! I stopped going to the gym last month with all of the busyness of the holidays, now if I could just get myself back there too!!! Good luck to you, I know we can do it!
