Running for Sanity

This here's a blog I started so that I can vent about my workout woes and brag about the good stuff! :-)
I love to eat, therefore I run. I also do it to maintain my sanity and to beat the stress out with every step! As the inexorable slide towards 40 continues, I've stepped up my goals with an eye towards crossing a few thing off of my "before I hit 40" list, like a marathon!
I thought this would be a good way to see how far I've come, and maybe commiserate about the tougher ...

Thanks for your comment. I highly recommend the OBX Triathlon. What a WELL run race! Great people, super volunteers, nice course...The weather might be iffy, but when isn't it. They went all out to accommodate the athletes. Best wishes on your endurance sport adventures.

Thanks for commenting on my "Tutu" blog. Annette is pretty intense when it comes to running. Maybe when she gets down to Florida she may relax. It is hard to relax when running a race at 13,000 feet when each breath is painful and each step is agony.

But she really wants to turn it loose where there is some oxygen and the ground is flat. Her celebration is being able to breathe and have the miles melt behind her.

Thanks, Bruce

I'm running the Tri-State Mother Road Marathon. It starts in Oklahoma, runs through Kansas, and ends in Missouri. Goes along route 66. It looks like you live near DC. Good luck on yours! I'm nervous. We will definitely have to compare notes!

Thank you for the goodie! I definitely need to use mine more often. I think it would help. My legs are feeling better. My foot not so much. I have a very important 10K coming up on Saturday and I need it to be better by then. I will be running regardless but I'd really like this to be an awesome race. I've been waiting a long time for it! I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
