I have been with SP since 2007.

I need to love myself.

I need to be healthy.

I am trying to delay knee surgery.

1. Movement for at least 30 minutes 5 days out of 7.

2. Drink 8 or more glasses of water each day.

3. Eat more vegetables and fruits each day.

4. Eat less meat (red & pork).

5. I will lose 10 pounds by my next doctor's appointment in April 2014.

Re-Join Planet Fitness or Y.

Water aerobics at least 2 or 3 times a week.

Get a personal trainer.

Start to walk.

Personal Information:
I live in Baltimore, Maryland.

Worked for the US government for 42 years. I retired on March 2, 2010.
Have 2 children, a girl and a boy (grown) and 5 grandchildren, 4 boys and 1 girl.

I love to dance. However with no cartliage in both knees this is a problem. There is the possibility of knee replacement in year (2015). I have come to realize that the healthy eating and weight loss is not easy. I have always taken the easy way as far as weight loss was concerned. I have tried everything. I knew that was not the correct way go go about it, but it was what I wanted. When I recently had minor surgery performed on both knees, I came to realize that I needed to face the reality that I had to do something about the weight. Stop making excuses and just do what I know I needed to do. My doctor told me that I did not want to make the effort and do the work. She was correct. So I made up my mind that I would make the effort. With a new year approaching
