WE can do this!!!

Even though I'm proud of the 40+pounds that I've lost since I've been on sparkpeople, sparking has improved my life in so many other ways that the mere fact that I've lost weight doesn't seem as significant (even though it is, for health reasons!). I'm just as so happy to be part of this wonderful community of friends sharing a similar journey!
You know what made the difference for me? The 5% Challenges . . . Fall, Winter, Spring, now Summer! They are awesome!

My Goals:
I try to eliminate processed foods entirely, and eat only whole foods. Lots of vegetables & protein, whole grains on occasion, and limited fruit (due to prediabetes)

My Program:
Attend Spin class 5-days-week, as well as Strength Training classes 3-days-week. Add extra walking & riding stationary bike in front of the TV when time allows.

I struggled with yesterday - But I didn't go over my calories but it was a mental challenge to NOT find something I wanted to binge emoticon on. I got through the day. Jo

emoticon Oh, I am SO sorry I missed the weigh-in report! I did weigh and I had the thought of posting and then the day swept me away. No, I can't blame it on the day. I dropped the ball. So sorry. Just posted now.

I stuck a Post-it on my computer saying "Weigh In" with the date. I was afraid this would happen!

Your mini-challenge ... There are 3 Important Things to Remember this week:

Every good thing you do for yourself is a step toward good health ... whether it is moving more, getting more sleep, or eating clean.

Don't get caught up in the "all-or-noting" mentality trap. Ten minutes here & there really DOES add up, and IS better than nothing.

Set reasonable, small goals. And then when you have achieved them, set another small goal .... and continue on your health journey.

Hi, Carol. Thanks for your nice message on the Minis. LOL, good thing the sleep challenge wasn't this week with all of my work hours through the night.

Wishing you a super healthy and fit week this week. Keep pushing and most of all let's both focus on the right food choices....it makes the difference above all else.
