WE can do this!!!

Even though I'm proud of the 40+pounds that I've lost since I've been on sparkpeople, sparking has improved my life in so many other ways that the mere fact that I've lost weight doesn't seem as significant (even though it is, for health reasons!). I'm just as so happy to be part of this wonderful community of friends sharing a similar journey!
You know what made the difference for me? The 5% Challenges . . . Fall, Winter, Spring, now Summer! They are awesome!

My Goals:
I try to eliminate processed foods entirely, and eat only whole foods. Lots of vegetables & protein, whole grains on occasion, and limited fruit (due to prediabetes)

My Program:
Attend Spin class 5-days-week, as well as Strength Training classes 3-days-week. Add extra walking & riding stationary bike in front of the TV when time allows.

Hi Carol - I went through the painful procedure yesterday with the hip and today I have no pain - We will see how long it lasts but even a little while is a blessing and it is hurry up and wait - however the knee has developed the pain back - Now the good news I will be starting pool therapy soon and that will help with so much. You rock!!!! Thanks for the stretch, I did it immediately. Hurts but I will continue to do it every time I sit down, just a couple at a time.

It is a beautiful day out today so my friends want to walk. I am going to try but not push it, I think I am going to ask them to cut the walk short today. We will see how it goes.

emoticon about the temporary interruption to the weight loss - but as you well know as long as you stick to your program, your success is guaranteed. Given all that's going on, your body has a right to hang on to stuff this week! I gained 6 pounds this week and lost it all by today's weigh in, so there was nothing new for me.

We'll get there! Hang in there. We're in this together!

Thank you - I am trying hard and in quite a bit of pain today because I overdid on multi-tasking cleaning.- But when i do that - I don't feel like eating! LOL Blessings Jo
