Countdown to Cabo

I've been a member of Spark since 12/1/06 and I love this site. The people and support on the 10 pounds and Under team help me tremendously to not just lose weight but see this as a lifelong journey with many tweaks as time goes by.

2010 was a huge year of transition with the loss of my job after a 22 year senior management career. I needed to find new definitions to who I was and truly decide what I wanted the next half to look like. In hindsight I am so glad that all that happened as I've learned a lot about what I really love, really want and really need.

After the holidays I re-commited to a life of clean eating. I'm not making massive changes but tweaks along the way. I didn't fall too far off the rails but don't feel as strong as I once did. I refuse to use my 46 years of age as any excuse.

I love you Spark and I'm glad to be back!

So happy that you are back!

have you done P90X before? I was doing it about a year ago. Loved it, but didn't finish the full 90 days. I am thinking of starting it up again in August. Are you following the Diet plan as well as the workouts?

Good Luck!

Hi! I'm popping in to WELCOME you to “SparkNashville-the Official Team" and introduce myself as your team leader.

Make sure on your "My Teams Page" that you click "New Topic Notification" so that you will get Team information. I have found that the more active we are with our team, the more successful are toward our goals.

Come join us at the TOWN SQUARE (found on our home page) where we get to know each other and keep each other motivated on a single posting thread.

Our new 6-week challenge will begin soon, I will be sending out an email with instructions to join.

I've lived in Nashville since 1984 and I work-out at Urban Active Murfreesboro Rd. Since I joined Spark People and started my weight-loss journey, I have lost 57 lbs & 31.5 inches... slow and steady but continual.

Historically, I have put myself on "diets" and moaned, groaned and complained to being deprived... I had DIET RAGE! This time it is different. My positive attitude is what is different for me this time. ELIMINATING EXCUSES is my mantra... Only positive thoughts and motivational attitudes...it’s the elusive key to weight-loss success and a happy life!

Have a GREAT journey... and remember to eliminate excuses that keep you from attaining your goals and you WILL get there. WE ARE STRONG! WE CAN DO THIS!!!

God Bless!!! =0) Camille
