Getting back in shape

I work an 8-5(ish) job that can be extremely stressful at times. I lost about 20 pounds a few years ago, but fell right back into my stress-eating pattern, and put all the weight back on within a year and half. I want to get back in to shape and stay that way with a healthy maintenance program!


1/27/11 Update: Well I did pretty well last summer. Thennn, I kind of took the fall off. But I'm back, and I want to stay on it year round! I am still struggling with motivation ...

My Goals:
I definitely rocked a bikini in the DR in April, but now I want to get really toned in the arms, stomach, and thighs - and stay that way!

My Program:
I decided I have "workout ADD." :) I keep getting distracted by cool new lifting programs and running programs. I've started following the Abs Diet for Women, and it seems to be working great!

Thanks for the goodie! I started a new job in addition to my original one so now I'm working two jobs and about to start school again - talk about being busy! But recovery is going well; I'm glad to be on my feet again. So far, the medical staff is impressed with my progress and I too am excited at how much more stable my knee appears to be thus far. Plus I have the added bonus of physical therapy which forces me to get off my butt and exercise at least a couple times a week! :) And I usually eat a lot better during the school year because things are more structured, so I'm kind of happy I'm starting up again in a week. Plus, starting my last year of nursing school means I'll be finishing it soon, which I am VERY excited for! Anyway, how has your summer been? I had hoped to spend some more time in the pool, but it's almost too muggy to swim! Hopefully this storm front tonight will bring in some cooler weather. Stay cool!

I'm doing better and better each day. It's just hard because I don't have much energy between the pain medication and not being able to move much. Sitting around makes me more tired than usual if that makes sense. But I'm doing physical therapy once a week and will go to twice a week starting next week, so I'll be getting some exercise at least. I never thought I'd be sad about having to rest so much! :) Thanks so much for asking though. :) :) It's nice to have people keeping track of me so I don't fall through the cracks. How is everything going for you??
