Hi Careyann,

You sound like you have things all under control. I am with you on the gym membership...I just dont feel comfortable there so I would never go if I had a membership. I am far more comfortable getting things done at home for the time being. That being said, I'm thinking of swimming laps at the local pool in the early morning. But that means a BATHING SUIT! EEK! lol

I use my treadmill for 30-60 minutes a day, almost 7 days a week (min. 6 days/wk) and I usually do a hill routine with walk/job intervals. I do have a bad knee so if I do too much running (like I did a few days ago) then it hurts me for a few days and I can only do walking up to 3.5mph. Normally, if I'm walking on a 1-2% incline, I walk at 4 mph. In addition to that, I started doing the P90X workouts that totally kick my butt! I have to modify most of the pushups/pullups but I do my best on the rest of them. There is a kickboxing workout that is really fun! The entire program uses body weight exercises, strength training, yoga and core exercises. The DVD's are about 50-60 minutes long (yoga is 90 mins) so I do them first then follow it up with 30 minutes on the treadmill. On the days I do yoga, I normally will walk for an hour to burn more calories. :)

In regards to food...I track everything. I don't each bread, but I do have a whole grain pita at lunch and the occassional sprouted grain english muffin. I avoid white potatoes/rice/etc. and I eat a lot of veggies. I try to eat about 100g protein or more per day and I limit my fruit to 1 serving a day. I try my best to avoid sugar and processed foods...but I do eat protein bars. :) I can't seem to find the right amount of calories to eat as my body will react by not losing or gaining weight. It's been quite frustrating!

Phew...I'm babbling! Do you follow a circuit training dvd? If so, which one?

Take care,
Carina

PS.
my official weigh-in day was today and I was up 0.4 lbs BUT I lost an inch off my hips since I last measured! :)
