I was encouraged by a friend to join SparkPeople three years ago, but I didn't use it long. Then I was encouraged by another friend to return and get my health back on track! I've just rejoined, and day 1 went well. God willing I'll be able to keep it up.

I was encouraged by a friend to join SparkPeople three years ago, but I didn't use it long. Then I was encouraged by another friend to return and get my health back on track! I've just rejoined, and day 1 went well. God willing I'll be able to keep it up.

I'm not fat, but I'm not healthy either. Sure, I could continue to be perfectly fine as I am now... but I don't want to settle for fine. I want to be fit. I want to be uber strong and muscular. I am also tired of being a pear-shape, and would like to have a more balanced figure.

As I write this, I'm around a size 8 and my current measurements are 34-31-40. My goal is to be 34-26-36... about a size 4 (which I was 6 years ago).

I'm also hoping as I continue to improve my health that it will motivate my loved-ones to do better by their own bodies as well.

My Goals:
Be strong and muscular
Eat healthier
Get my measurements back to 34-26-36 (about size 4)

My Program:
For nutrition.. basically replacing my bad snacks with healthier ones. Eating smaller meals. And making sure I get enough fruits and vegetables and other nutrients I tend to miss out on.
For fitness... Currently it's pretty random. About half an hour on the treadmill, but the strength training part is a little chaotic yet.

Personal Information:
name's Cara, 26, from Seattle. I've been married for almost 8 years. We are the proud parents of a Sun Conure named Sweetheart and a few exotic bugs.

Other Information:
Would love to make some new friends through this experience.
Especially any ladies around Burien, Tukwila, Renton, South/West Seattle or North SeaTac areas that enjoy walking at various local parks.

Cara welcome back to SparkPeople! I too did the disappearing trick and then came back however this time i'm not giving up! I am striving to keep up with my nutrition through the tracker which is an excellent tool. It did take me awhile to get it down but I think I have it licked now. Protein was a tough one for me too, if I don't seem like i'm going to hit the mark I will have a 1/2 to a full serving of Isopure, I have dutch chocolate right now. 1/2 is 25g and a full is 50 w/only 2-4 carbs. I pick it up at the Vitamin Shoppe. Last me a loooong time.
Well I hope you have a great time navigating Sparkpeople there is so much here that is very helpful.
