It's so strange to be coaxing the scale upwards, and fretting for those first 3 months when I just kept losing and losing. But for the health of my babies, I'm doing my best, and have begun to up the weight gain. I'm not where I should be, because of having to regain the weight I initially lost, but I'm back to my start weight and have even gained a few additional pounds. I'm looking forward to meeting my babies in just over 18 weeks! Pre-pregnancy goals: I skydived for a friend's 18th birthday years ago, at my skinniest, and would LOVE to do it again! There is a weight limit for safety, and I definitely don't qualify at the moment. I'm working towards meeting the safety guidelines so I can feel the freedom of open air again! Seeing a video of skydivers playing Quidditch just upped that desire! I met my husband on a rock climbing trip, and would like to get back into it. I want to lose weight so I can get back on the wall and enjoy it. I was a strong climber before he ever touched a wall, but it's a lot harder to lug this body up a mountain. He's now a mountaineering school director, and I'm his occasional belay slave. I'd like it to be a partnership! I want to be able to enjoy all aspects of the outdoors. I adore camping, and want to be more comfortable taking advantage of all the outdoors has to offer. My favorite fitness accomplishment was completing the Sea Gull Century (100 kilometers in one day! ~about 65 miles) in October 2009. I'm hoping to add more accomplishments in the near future. Mini-Rewards for Mini-Goals Put $1 in a jar every week you meet a goal. When it gets to $50, treat yourself. See a movie. Go to D&Bs. Buy something for your hobby. Celebrate "100% Days". If you reach 100% of your goals that day, choose two rewards.

My Goals:
When I stop drinking, I immediately drop weight quickly. I will not have liquor or wine in the house except for parties, and will send half-empty bottles home with friends.

I will go to the gym or workout outside at least 4 times a week.

I will keep in mind my goal of eliminating the medical problems that have cropped up or returned that are linked to my weight.

I will eat until I feel satisfied, and then STOP no matter how much is left on my plate.

My Program:
*Get lots of sleep! I can't snack while sleeping, and the energy I get from sleep will help prevent overeating the next day.

*Eat a good, healthy, filling breakfast and lunch .

*Exercise: Elliptical, walking with friends, or heading to the gym

*Minimum effort calorie boost: Make my house look nice! Instead of sitting around watching TV or playing online, I've been doing active chores that really REALLY need to get done, and make my house more of a home.

Personal Information:
I teach Spanish, Math, and Biology at a school district near Pittsburgh, PA. I have been a homeowner since June 2007 and am proud of being able to own at what I consider a fairly young age. My family is my wonderful man, 2 kitties, and a lovely chihuahua.

    yeah sorry forgot about that with dropshots. it's autumn

    dropped out of weight watchers again...just can't afford it. not sure how much i weigh right now honestly.

    school is great! glad it's friday though.

    working without a contract???? what does your teacher's union say about that? that's terrible. but of course you know the contract only really protects the school it doesn't protect the teacher. my school only does 1 year contracts so what good does that really do me???? there is always a way out if they really wanted to fire someone- teachers make mistakes weekly.

    hey there! thanks for the comment. I am enjoying my summer...traveling a lot. and i got a new classroom-it's amazing!!! so they are letting the art teachers paint the floors to personalize them. i have been working on that nonstop.

    i went back to weight watchers tonight actually. i am the biggest i have ever been- boo! 251.6 very sad. was bouncing around the beach in my bathing suit this past weekend and saw some of the pictures and said "oh snikees" i need to leave denial land. so today is a new day on another very long journey...sigh. why did i have to get brains and talent in exchange for a good emoticon
