I skydived for a friend's 18th birthday years ago, at my skinniest, and would LOVE to do it again! There is a weight limit for safety, and I definitely don't qualify at the moment. I'm working towards meeting the safety guidelines so I can feel the freedom of open air again! Seeing a video of skydivers playing Quidditch just upped that desire!
I met my husband on a rock climbing trip, and would like to get back into it. I want to lose weight so I can get back on the wall and enjoy it. I was a strong climber before he ever touched a wall, but it's a lot harder to lug this body up a mountain. He's now a mountaineering school director, and I'm his occasional belay slave. I'd like it to be a partnership!
I want to be able to enjoy all aspects of the outdoors. I adore camping, and want to be more comfortable taking advantage of all the outdoors has to offer.
My favorite fitness accomplishment was completing the Sea Gull Century (100 kilometers in one day! ~about 65 miles) in October 2009. I'm hoping to add more accomplishments in the near future.

When I stop drinking, I immediately drop weight quickly. I will not have liquor or wine in the house except for parties, and will send half-empty bottles home with friends.
I will go to the gym or workout outside at least 4 times a week.
I will keep in mind my goal of eliminating the medical problems that have cropped up or returned that are linked to my weight.
I will eat until I feel satisfied, and then STOP no matter how much is left on my plate.
*Get lots of sleep! I can't snack while sleeping, and the energy I get from sleep will help prevent overeating the next day.
*Eat a good, healthy, filling breakfast and lunch .
*Exercise: Elliptical, walking with friends, or heading to the gym
*Minimum effort calorie boost: Make my house look nice! Instead of sitting around watching TV or playing online, I've been doing active chores that really REALLY need to get done, and make my house more of a home.
I teach Spanish, Math, and Biology at a school district near Pittsburgh, PA. I have been a homeowner since June 2007 and am proud of being able to own at what I consider a fairly young age. My family is my wonderful man, 2 kitties, and a lovely chihuahua.
