My Goals:
My goal for this spring season is to kick weight loss into gear again. I aim to end up weighing 130 by mid-June, and to be reasonably fit when the gardening season starts - which will be late this year. Another goal is to resume a yoga practice, so that I am able to practice daily and make good progress in body awareness, flexibility and strength. In all of this, I aim to remain conscious of what a gift life is and be grateful for each day.
My Program:
Newly beginning - again (sigh) I am starting with small steps of 10-minute increments for strength building, and 20 minute increments for walking and/or working outdoors. I will also re-learn yoga and establish regular practice times, primarily to be more aware of my body, my breath and energy. I will continue to have the following goals: eat at least 5 fruits or vegetables a day; drink those 8 glasses of water a day; get 8 hours of sleep a night; and, practice meditation for 20 minutes a day.
Personal Information:
I live in the beautiful Chippewa Valley in Wisconsin. This is an area of rivers, trees, gentle hills and lots of dairy cows. I am a therapist, a SoulCollage (R) Facilitator spiritual director and a spiritual healing touch basic practitioner.
Other Information:
Gardening is a source of great joy, healthy exercise and some aches and pains. I love reading and do some blogging, neither of which is a way to exercise the body, but do reasonably well for the mind.
