I am beginning again because this is a new phase in my life. In only two months I will be fully retired from 19 years as a psychotherapist, which was itself a second career. My goal for the next few years is to stay healthy and strong, enjoy the years my husband and I have together, and contribute to a Transition from a "business as usual" culture to one willing and able to make a "shift to a life-sustaining" culture.

My Goals:
My goal for this spring season is to resume weight-loss progress and increase my strength and endurance. I aim to be reasonably fit when the gardening season starts in earnest towards the end of May. Another goal is to resume a yoga practice, so that I am able to practice daily and make good progress in body awareness, flexibility and strength. In all of this, I aim to remain conscious of what a gift life is and be grateful for each day.

My Program:
Newly beginning - again (sigh). I have had to have physical therapy for back problems and so am starting with small steps doing my PT exercises, and just beginning to do yoga again.

I will continue to have the following goals: eat at least 5 fruits or vegetables a day; drink those 8 glasses of water a day; get 8 hours of sleep a night; and, practice meditation for 20 minutes a day.



Personal Information:
I live in the beautiful Chippewa Valley in Wisconsin. This is an area of rivers, trees, gentle hills and lots of dairy cows. I am a SoulCollage (R) Facilitator, spiritual director and a spiritual healing touch certified practitioner.

Other Information:
Gardening is a source of great joy, healthy exercise and some aches and pains. I love reading and do some blogging, neither of which is a way to exercise the body, but do reasonably well for the mind.

I will be starting my tomato and pepper plants this upcoming weekend. I am trying to garden by the phases of the moon. I did some of that last year, but now I have a calendar to use. We will see how it goes. When will you start yours? It seems early, but...we shall see. emoticon
