Begining a new journey is hard, but I CAN do it!

I began the pre-lapband process in late July 09. (wt 245)
Surgery date February 10, 2010. (wt 215)
First fill, 3/23 6wk 4cc with four sticks (wt 212)
Second fill, 4/13 3wk 2cc with five sticks (wt 212)
Third fill, 5/4 6wk checked fill amount only 5cc inside,
7cc with 12 sticks (wt 209).

I have heard people use spaghetti squash in place of pasta - I tried it once and wasn't impressed. I have done mashed cauliflower mixed with potatoes, but never had good luck doing the cauliflower alone, but I've heard others rave about it so it must be good if you do it right.

Congratulations to you on all of the things you have "given up" recently - I know those aren't easy! You are making really positive changes in your life, and soon perspective will change to be about all of the things you are gaining (not weight, of course) and less about what you are having to give up.
