Leafy green vegetables and colorful foods are cited for their protective, disease-preventing benefits, due largely to their concentration of beneficial antioxidants. Flavonol-rich foods, notably tea, green tea, coffee and chocolate, offer preventive benefits that extent to glaucoma.

It also mentioned regular exercise and I know from my own experience that the freggies helped me to keep my eyes from progressing faster - the eye doctor said he was impressed that I slowed the aging in my eyes. Made me feel good since only my diet and exercise had changed.

Thank you for your very wise words - I needed to hear them.

I had planned to leave the blog a few days but if she hasn't seen it by now, I will let it go and move on. I just feel terrible.

I read you are dealing with Glaucoma on top of everything else. I do hope it was caught in time? Are you using eye drops? That is the only treatment I ever heard of but that was more than 30 years ago. If I find any foods that might help, I will let you know. I am forever "googling" for foods to help different conditions.

The doctor took Ray off the Warfarin/Coumadin and he is doing soooo much better now! He is dealing with mild depression over the "ugly boo-boo" on his foot, but we can live with that! Ray says it's easy for me to say because it's his foot.

Again, thank you very much for your very wise words. I will do as you suggest and move on.

    Huggers,
    Linda

Glad you enjoyed the video. They're crazy kids. We don't eat spicy foods but they eat jalapenos like they're olives. I can barely tolerate chili powder. LOL My DD bought Indian Chili powder for the Indian dishes she prepares and I didn't realize the potency. My body nearly went into shock after one bite. I couldn't eat the meal.

So you're a hot pepper lover too! Seems like torture to me, LOL

Appreciate your concern for Jasmine. emoticon
The patient will find out more when he picks her up tonight. I'm sure she'll have "the cone of shame" again. Poor gal.
