Try, try again!

I lost about 25 pounds when I first joined Sparkpeople (I weighed 187 lbs when I started in Jan/07), but once I started work full-time, I gained back a few pounds (up to about 166 lb). Then I got pregnant with our third child.

I had a beautiful baby girl May 13, 2009, so now it's time to re-commit to Sparkpeople. I've deleted my previous goals, etc. and am starting fresh. Anyone in the same boat - I'd love to hear from you. Wish me luck :)

Update: I had a beautiful baby boy February 14, 2011, (now have four kids - wow!) and now have way too much weight on me! Definitely time to start over.

I'd like to take a lesson from some fellow Sparkpeople and actually set goals and plan some rewards, instead of just having the vague notion of losing some weight, some how, some time. Also, when I have a bad day (or two), I am going to re-commit immediately, without the guilt trip...just keep trying.

My Goals:

To take better care of myself, so I can take better care of my family.

To be a good, healthy role model for my 3 girls (and 1 boy).

To try new forms of exercise (ex: tae-bo, yoga, belly dancing, jump rope, rebounding, etc.).

To reward myself for every five-pound milestone.

My Program:
I'll be trying to stay within my Spark calorie range. I've added a higher calorie range for now, since I'm breastfeeding. I'm not too worried right now about calories - I'm going to eat when I'm hungry (which seems like all the time when I'm breastfeeding...lol) and just try to eat healthy foods and get used to tracking them again. I'll adjust it appropriately when that's done.

I'm starting by working on the nutrition part first, then I'll incorporate exercise - baby steps!

I'm working on getting my 8 glasses of water a day as much as possible.

Tracking my fitness and nutrition here on Sparkpeople will be a priority.

Other Information:
I like camping, going to the movies, cross stitching.

I love animals of all kinds.

I am a recipe junkie - so if you have any favourites, let me know!

Hey! That's exactly why I'm here too! I've had luck before with sparkpeople, but somehow I always tend to fall off. And I really think it's because I'm not involved enough...so that's what I'm trying to do too. It's like making this a 2nd facebook or something. So yes, we can motivate each other along the way! emoticon

Thank you for the Spark Goodie!! If I can get back on track, you can too! This is my third time, and this time I'll be maintaining once I get to my goal!
