Welcome to my home page. I found the inspiration, discipline, and motivation to lose weight here at Sparkpeople a couple of years ago and then fell off the bandwagon and put all the weight back on. So I am starting over! I am looking forward to reaching my goals! I am going to try again and hope I can have the motivation and consistency to reach my goals!I have lived in Boise, Idaho many years and have gained over 40 lbs. that are difficult to lose. I have found that the older I get, the harder it is to lose weight! I pray that I can reach my goal with God's help!!

My Goals:
I want to lose 40 lbs and keep it off, and gain more energy, keep my cholesterol and blood sugar down since I have pre-diabetes, hypertension, and had a thyroidectomy this year.
Not a good year for my health - this is my wake up call!


My Program:
I have not been following any certain program, so I am trying to do this on my own by startting to get exercise by walking and bike riding for 30 minutes at least 3X/week, and watching what I eat, keeping my calories in the 1200-1550 range. I use the Nutrition and Fitness trackers to keep track of my food and exercise.



Personal Information:
My name is Cathy, I have been in NICU nursing for many years, and am currently a clinical educator and simulation faculty at our learning services dept. in our hospital. I am divorced and have two sons, and two cats.


Other Information:
My favorite color is purple, and I love lavender, gardening flowers, scrapbooking, rubber stamping, reading, bike riding, the ocean, and the mountains. I love to sing and play the guitar.

    Good luck in 2010!!!! Avatar was just great!!!!! You described it so well. You had asked (awhile back) where I did my tree hang and 40 foot drop -- that was at the ropes course at Hemophilia Camp. The kids did a lot more than me, but I said "what the heck on this one" and just DID IT. Have a great week. emoticon

    Hi, hope you week is off to a good start. Jake brought over the flash drive and stayed and visited (and ate) for about an hour. It was so fun to have him stay and be with us. This is going to be hard!!!

    Well, day 3 back aboard. Been about 100 cals. a day over, but that's an improvement. Now I'm trying to think about what I put in my mouth (wow, what a concept). I made the Fiber One Cinnamon muffins and am having one of those in a.m. They are good (yours w/the pecans on top were a bit better). I like these muffins though because they are good enough for me to eat w/o butter and I love butter on my muffins. So hope you're doing good. Have a great rest of the week. emoticon
