Welcome to my home page. I found the inspiration, discipline, and motivation to lose weight here at Sparkpeople a couple of years ago and then fell off the bandwagon and put all the weight back on. So I am starting over! I am looking forward to reaching my goals! I am going to try again and hope I can have the motivation and consistency to reach my goals!I have lived in Boise, Idaho many years and have gained over 40 lbs. that are difficult to lose. I have found that the older I get, the harder it is to lose weight! I pray that I can reach my goal with God's help!!
I want to lose 40 lbs and keep it off, and gain more energy, keep my cholesterol and blood sugar down since I have pre-diabetes, hypertension, and had a thyroidectomy this year.
Not a good year for my health - this is my wake up call!
I have not been following any certain program, so I am trying to do this on my own by startting to get exercise by walking and bike riding for 30 minutes at least 3X/week, and watching what I eat, keeping my calories in the 1200-1550 range. I use the Nutrition and Fitness trackers to keep track of my food and exercise.
My name is Cathy, I have been in NICU nursing for many years, and am currently a clinical educator and simulation faculty at our learning services dept. in our hospital. I am divorced and have two sons, and two cats.
My favorite color is purple, and I love lavender, gardening flowers, scrapbooking, rubber stamping, reading, bike riding, the ocean, and the mountains. I love to sing and play the guitar.
