I guess it's time to test out new sales venues. I'm in a sale on nov 23 & 24 and met the organizer yesterday and was really impressed with how much they do for their artists.
Also there is another resto in town that knows a bit about my work. One of the owners of the cafe is now in the choir with me. We talked about having a vernissage there...like an exhibition but probably just for one night as the pottery won't hang on walls, although I have been toying with the idea of making wall art - tiles mounted on barn wood...or leaves mounted on wood...or a whole clay tile representation of a tree! That would be cool. That would take some time though.
The confrontation was more like a light bulb moment for me. I'd suddenly figured something out and blurted it out there to share before editing in my head. To be fair to myself, I have to say that I was not the only one who poked the bear in the cage that night. The other women contributed as well as JF who brought up a touchy subject - his present boss worked with KIA years ago and he told us that everyone at the office was really scared of KIA. I think she was human resources manager or something like that and was responsible for firing some folks. All you had to do was give her a reason.
I think that this is all a transition to something better.
I'm looking forward to some more intimate times with good friends and also keeping business separated from pleasure.
