My name is Candace M. Holt - 27 years old - I've been strugling with weight issues since I first started caring that I was overweight around the age of 15. I began trying the south beach diet and then turned it into my own low carb life style that lasted years. I lost 45 lbs. bringing me down to 140 lbs. reached a plateau and decided to try something new and maybe healthier. The Abs Diet was my next book. I read this book and did my best to follow... instant weight gain. I decided that there should be a little bit of a gain at first and then the losing would begin. Nope kept gaining... I had also spent $500 on a personal trainer at the gym - I noticed some inches but not enough to keep me motivated. I found spark people just playing around on the internet and I'm very glad I did. This is a tool that can be such a huge help, and any time I have an issue or a problem I can ask my fellow members and know that I will get an answer. Thank you spark people for that! I'm pretty sure I'm on the right path now and there are a couple of quotes that help me on a daily basis one that I saw from another spark people member "Nothing Tastes as Good as Skinny" and the other from my friends dietician (my friend has just had gastric bypass) - "Never eat anything that does nothing for you" ... I think I'm on the losing path now thanks to you guys and spark people. THANK YOU!
