My name is Lori. I am 48 and married to a wonderful husband. I have a 24 yr. old daughter and an 13 yr. old son. I have been a yo yo dieter for most of my life. I was always thin until 13 yrs. ago when I became pregnant with my second child. After that I became a stay at home Mom and quit caring about my appearance as much.
This site has alot of useful information and I really like the fact that I have the opportunity to talk with other people who are after the same goals that I am. Looking forward to this journey and making new friends along the way.

I have been working this program for over 1 year now and have met many wonderful friends along the way. I lost 20+ lbs. in that first year and have gained it all back. I am not giving up on me or I wouldn't still be here. I know what sparkpeople can do for me and I have seen the results from so many other people.

I still have time to be nifty by fifty (preferably sooner), so that is what I intend to do. I know how important it is to log in everyday and record my food intake in order to lose weight.

This is my year! I am going to do this!!!

My Goals:
My goals are to become healthy and develop an exercise plan that I enjoy so I will actually stick to it. I want to be able to enjoy physical activities again with my family and be able to get into a bathing suit again instead of shorts and a t-shirt at the beach.

My Program:
I am going to walk 30 min./day 3 times/wk. I am also going to actually start riding my stationery bike that has been gathering dust. Keeping in contact with sparkpeople of course will be key to my weightloss success.

Personal Information:
I live in central wisconsin.

Other Information:
I enjoy scrapbooking, making soy candles, music, camping, fishing, buying and selling on ebay and of course eating.

Lori so good to "see" you again!! How is the knee feeling? Glad to hear you have a workout buddy local-that is a big help. Come back to the chit chat reunion page there are 5 or 6 of us that chat there pretty regular. You CAN do this-50 will be your FABULOUS!! emoticon

So good to hear from you. I too am getting back on track this year. I blew it big time last year. Lets do this together. We know we can. 2 days of exercising and I am soooo soar I can barley move...LOL Looking forward to seeing you on the thread regularly.
