Revised: 6/26/12
After losing over 40 lbs. at the end of last year through the Spark program, I hit a plateau that lasted for 3 months. I had not been at that weight in 30 yrs. and I was feeling very comfortable in my new skin. I felt good and thought I looked pretty amazing. After losing over 40 lbs. at the end of last year through the Spark program, I hit a plateau that lasted for 3 months. I had not been at that weight in 30 yrs. and I was feeling very comfortable in my new skin. I felt good and thought I looked pretty amazing. So I told myself that maybe I would just stop there knowing that I was 25 lbs. short of my goal weight. So I left the program and was able to maintain my weight within 3 lbs up and back down for the last 3 months. I am proud of that, BUT, I am feeling plump again, and also felling "not too healthy". I feel like my energy level has dropped and my cravings are off the wall so I have decided to finish what I had started. I want to lead that healthy life style again, and I want to build my muscles up and tone up in the areas that, now that I am wearing summer clothes, look pretty flabby.
So now hopefully with a new attitude about holding myself responsible for my actions, I "WILL" reach my goal

Hi Catherine!

If I didn't do that all the time myself, I wouldn't have pointed it out to you! And no, you are not a dork! I'm just glad someone beside me does it too.

Mom's mad at me because I'm sending her to Granny Day Care tomorrow, so that I can get out and do some shopping tomorrow. Maybe it is being selfish, but I just need to get some stuff done! Wait 'til she finds out she's going Friday, too! I think I'll wait 'til that morning to tell her!

Well, this is the finals night for Dancing with the Stars, so I'm packing it in for the night!

Sleep tight!
Hugs from the Buckeye State,
Marsha

Catherine,

I'm so glad today turned out like it did for you! I'm proud of you! I just gave you a little shove, but you're the one who was strong! Good for you! Adult can sure do a number on a child can't they? As Dr. Phil would say, "It takes a thousand "Atta boy's" to make up for one put down!" So true! Well, you turned out great!! (Except for the fact that you wrote to me, but you posted it on your page! I'm always doing that!) emoticon

I love our friendship, too!
Hugs,

Marsha, On so many levels the day went so much better that I could have drempt... I don't think anyone is going to get fired, which was my biggest fear. The co-workers that I worked with today were so supportive, and I am so grateful that I work with such a great bunch of girls.

I learned a huge lesson today .... that it is OK to stick up for myself, and not fade away into the woodwork and allow the opposition to win....Today I AM THE WINNER!!!!!! I feel so good about myself.

As a young girl I was never allowed to voice my opinion or defend myself against being in conflicts with my step sister...she was my step dad's little princess, and even if she started the conflicts between us I would always be blamed. I learned to avoid any conflicts at all because I never learned how to defend myself, because I was never allowed to do that in my dysfunctional family. Fear enveloped me always when I did find myself in conflict through my adult years, I would stand back and take the abuse, whether verbal or mental, I just would not defend myself at all and food became my saving grace, my comfy blanket to hid under, or behind. SO TODAY I WIN!!! I Stood up for myself and I didn't crush under my fears.

I don't know what will happen to solve the problem at work, I hope my friend, the team leader will get the raise I advocated for, but I am not sure that will happen either. I really don't want her to quit.

My boss did not give me any indication as to what she was going to do about the co-worker that started this whole conflict, but I am pretty sure she is working behind the scene to get to the bottom of this.

Thank you soooo much for your support...it gave me the courage and confidence I needed for today.

I love our friendship,
Catherine
