THINKING you are going to do something, gives you the option to fail. DOING something doesn't!!

My name is Chrysta and I am 29 years old. My life has gone thru some major revamping and I figured it must be time to get it all (my weight) under control.

I was recently divorced from my husband of 7 years, whom together we had 3 beautiful kids. I am now living life to the fullest with the love of my world, Tammy. (Yes, she is a girl and I love saying it!) She is also going thru a divorce and she shares 2 kids with her soon-to-be-ex.

So, as you could imagine, our lives can get pretty chaotic with 5 AMAZING children!!

I just took myself off of prozac which I think may have been hindering my weightloss (My laziness and lack of motivation doesn't count ;)

SO, with all of that said, I think it is easy to see that with 5 kids, 6 females under one roof, 3 cats, 2 jobs, 2 ex-husbands, and no more little amazing patience pill (prozac), I can use all the support I can get.

That's my life in a nutshell! I look forwward to befriending alot of you dealing with the same struggles I do!!

hey christa! nice to meet you. i live in so. gardiner, but i'm actually from the old town area. do you know maine well? anyway, it sounds like your on the right track and i'd love to have another buddy to help me get through this, and i look forward to helping you do the same :)
i think going off your medicine was a good idea. all you really need is a lot of support and people to talk to. and now that your not in a stressful relationship you can start working on you. it sounds like your very happy now and this is the perfect time to start making these changes.

Yeah, it's really nice to meet people who can be like a support system for what can be a hard journey sometimes. Plus your story really reminds me of my aunt and her girlfriend. Getting together after divorces and they have a TON of kids. Their house is always crazy, but fun I bet!
My husband and I really want kids, so we'll keep getting healthier, prepare our bodies and hopefully will be blessed.

Welcome to 50+ pounds to lose - Phase one! Please take a minute to look at my sparkpage and read my blogs. It's hard to welcome the 100 or so new members each day, and in a team of 87,000+ members it's hard to keep a nice organized board! :-) But as team leaders, we are trying really hard.

I tell all the new members to take a minute and read Thread #1, it explains posting and where to post. Then, take a minute to read the F.A.Q. (Frequently Asked Questions) thread - as you look around the boards, you will have questions, and we try to answer them in that thread. Last, introduce yourself in the WELCOME! Thread. Once you've done that, start using the 20 or so main threads so we can all get to know you. Most of the membership doesn't read any new threads, because they have unsubscribed from them due to the high volume. But if you want the most bang for your buck, the main threads are the place to be!

We also encourage posting responses to new threads in the main threads. Just post in the new thread that you've posted a response in the appropriate main thread so the conversation can shift where more people can see it.
