It's time for some new pictures. I finally quit my job. Man was it crazy! I'd never worked in a business where nobody cared about how things are run. For me being on top of things is major. So now that I'm back home with my kids I'm doing better in my classes again and taking better care of my health. Still working on turning this tummy bulge into flat hard abs.

Okay now that I have time I want to really put up my new years goals!
So! Last year my goals were to lose weight. I was so tired of feeling old! I was 23! I couldn't allow that to happen. I weighed 155 and slowly but surely the scale was going up. All I wanted was to be healthy and lose weight. Well I did it! I lost the 25 pounds that I wanted to lose. Right now I weight 128 and I feel great.

So FOR THIS YEAR! I'm at the weight I want to be but now I want to start firming up all of these flabby mommy parts.
By the end of this year I would like to have at the very least a flat rock solid belly with no more loose skin. If possible I want to have a little 2 or 4 pack. :)
Since I already have a little tush I need to start firming up these buns so I can get to rockin an actual girl body. I've never had much of a figure and flat booty doesn't help. Many Many lunges will be done.
I also need to do a lot of upper body work outs so I can firm up my guns and my pecs! Breast feeding a great for having a healthy baby and bonding but it sucks the life out of your boobs!
Other goals not health related are to start saving money and GRADUATE FROM COLLEGE! I know life will throw some odd balls at me but I want to always have the will power to continue doing the things that will better my life and school is one of those things:)

Maintain the healthy weight that I have attained.
Add strengthening workouts to my exercise agenda. I've hit the weight that I want to be. I don't feel fat anymore but I could always go for more strength.
The goal is to firm up these glutes, triceps, abs, and quads.

Now that I've lost a pretty good amount of weight I'm feeling great. The best part about it is that my self esteem has gone way up and I stand up straight when I walk around.

So my new goal is to continue doing what I'm doing but now I'm going to start working with kettle bells and medicine balls. I want to increase my strength especially in my core. I need more strength so I can put my body in different positions with out strain. The position you see here on my background , standing on one leg with the other straight up and a few other yoga poses. Flexibility has always been one of women's most beautiful qualities. I know what's ahead of me. It's going to take a lot of discipline and consistency but I'm very much looking forward to what's to come from all the hard work.

My kids are an inspiration. Mothers train your children to love physical activity even if they act like it's not their thing. My daughter hates running but loves to motivate me while I work out and joins in ever so often. She hates running, chasing balls. and racing. But I guess that's why I have a son. She now likes to stay active with me.

I've been thinking... I've been doing really good watching what I eat, not over indulging, and working out. I'm always dedicated to my family and my education so I figure I need to reward myself. Here lately when I do my workouts I'm noticing more and more that my shoes don't have any grip at all. They're like bald tires. So when I do my mountain climbers or anything at all really I get tired quicker than I should. So I think I'm going to go out and by myself a really good pair of running shoes. No Payless. Payless shoes don't last.
After I get my new shoes I'm going to get a new work out video and buy some new work clothes because I found a job! WOOHOO! New body, new job, new career path. Things seem to be falling into place. Can't wait to get some money to go shopping!
Oh and I just took some before pictures that I still need to upload. I'm a bit hesitant to put them up because I'm not one to like to show off a lot of skin but seeing as it's the only way to really show what I'm working on I'm going to have to build up the courage to just do it. Pics to come soon hopefully.

It's almost August and I've dropped 18.8 pounds. My goal weight is 125. Once I get there I want to tone my stomach! After having two kids my stomach is mush. While I've lost a lot of weight and my body has slimmed up I still have the tummy bulge. I really want to get a flat tummy. I'm thinking about signing up for the Spartan Race. Not sure though. It might be too intense for me.

I stated doing the Jilian Micheals 6 week 6 pack. Well for me since I don't have a flat tummy yet it's taking more than 6 weeks. The workout is intense and I love it. Just need to get motivated again because I see myself slacking off. My workouts have decreased to twice a week.

Update: I remember now why I was in such a rut. I could see myself slipping away. I was gaining weight and losing energy to do things. It started getting depressing. I hated it!
The only person who can change this life of mine around is me. No one can change it for me. Grab life and take the bull by the horns!

OK. So one of my goals for the new year is to lose 20 pounds. So far I've taken 5 off and now I'm getting really serious about taking better care of myself so I'v joined SparkPeople where I can find people near me so we can get together to work out or motivate each other.
Here we GO!
