I want to lose 50 pounds by my 51st birthday!
Update, 6/19/12: My birthday isn't for another 3 months and I have already lost 50 pounds. Onward and upward! (Or onward and downward.)
Update, 7/22/12: Lost 60 pounds as of today!
I'm walking 60 minutes a day and trying to eat a diet full of fruits and vegetables and lean protein.
I live in the southeast corner of Idaho with my husband and my animals. We have a place in the mountains and I'd like to have the energy to hike there, not just sit in a lawn chair.
Thank you for your kind words about my blackstrap hoisin sauce on the message boards! There are a couple of different ways that I make it:
3 Tbsp each of blackstrap, hoisin, and apple cider vinegar, with 6 cloves of minced garlic and a tsp of ginger
or, if I need it sweeter to complement the meal, then I drop 1 Tbsp of the molasses and add 1 or 2 Tbsp of brown sugar
I do want to warn you, though --- you might want to make sure that you are using clear pyrex or stainless steel when cooking this. I made the mistake of using white Corningware and the molasses has permanently stained it! Turned out ok, though: everyone in the house knows which casserole dish to pull out when using this sauce to cook meat in!
