Hi! I'm in the middle of a weight loss journey that I've already taken once before. I lost 70 lbs a few years ago, then I let life "stuff"get between me and my goals. So here I go again.

Having done it once before is a double edged sword. I know that I'm capable of losing the weight (I need to lose even more this time) but I also know how capable I am of gaining it back.

My Goals:
My weight goal is to lose 106 lbs. My starting weight was 254,

I want to be able to move around more easily. I also want to be stronger and more stable, so I'm less likely to get hurt just doing day-to-day things.

On the vanity side, I want to feel and look younger.

I also want to start taking dance classes again - I miss dancing SO much! I need to drop a few pounds and get in a little better shape first.

My Program:
Consistency is difficult for me. If I walk every day, everything else has a tendency to fall into place, so that is my number one goal.

I plan on getting my body into shape with:

1. Walking about 30 minutes most days
2. Strength training at home about 5-10 minutes most days
3. Taking a Pilates/Yoga class on Friday morning (unless I really have to work or something)
4. Stretching 5-10 minutes almost every day.
5. Restarting Zumba in the near future (vague, yes, but I'm still figuring out how to work around a very irregular work schedule)

It DEFINITELY is hard to stay on plan in the land of plenty!

Thank you for your support. I figure as long as I somehow stay even a little bit on the wagon, I'll be okay.

Thanks for sharing your experience! I eat mostly vegetarian most of the time (no processed meat substitutes, just real whole foods), and when I eat that way consistently I feel great! But when I eat something I wouldn't normally eat like pizza it sometimes triggers an over eating episode that seems to take me a while to pull out of., especially if I'm over tired or hormonal, like I was this week.

I appreciate your insight and support, and thank you for reminding me of all the benefits to eating healthfully - you look great, and clearly feel great too! :)

Thanks for the encouraging comment on my activity feed! I think you're on to something with the "I'm not giving my body what it needs" idea. I think in my case I haven't been giving my body enough rest. I've been skimping on sleep, pushing through workouts when I'm tired, etc. While "just do it!" is sometimes a valuable attitude, sometimes I need to allow myself to "just DON'T do it."
