We do not stop exercising because we grow old and tired, we grow old and tired because we stop exercising.

I always feel better when I exercise and eat healthy. I never feel fantastic when I overeat and live a sedentary life. But somehow, I managed to let go of this inner truth, lost a small part of my soul and gained way to much weight. My kids will be learning from me, and I want them to learn to feel good about their bodies and abilities. I'm kind of excited about the trials ahead!

This journey is forever shifting. The more I learn, the more I grow. I'm constantly adjusting my diet and workouts and learning how my body responds to these changes. I'm becoming the master of my own puppet...

1st Goal - 219 lbs = I never reached this goal, I surpassed it! 5/18/12 = 217 lbs

2nd Goal - 209 lbs

3rd Goal - Onederland - 199 lbs

4th Goal - 189 lbs

    Hey thanks for stopping by my blog. I sure didn't run out of 'gas' on my walk today. Sometimes it's good not to have a walking partner :-p

    Please don't talk negatively about yourself. You're a beautiful woman and your weight isn't what defines you.

    Biggest Loser is a reality show and I'm not a fan of any of them. I'm happy for the weight losses the contestants have but, if they haven't learned how to be accountable to themselves, instead of the tough trainers, they won't win the battle of being healthy. Can we really appreciate a life of fitness if we live in a bubble for 6 months with full days of exercise with professional trainers and a chef preparing healthy meals that don't come out of our own food budgets? ...Just sayin'.

    Keep smiling, being the great mommy and wife you are, and working daily toward your fitness goals. You're a terrific woman! You've already accomplished the hardest part of your fitness journey. You've gotten off your butt and started climbing the ladder. Every day you're climbing up a rung or two. One day you will realize you've climbed close enough to see the top of your success ladder. There's lots of room at the top because few people have the tenacity to get up there. :)

    Thank you for the comment on my blog. I have a lot of food industry experience and have been working with the SBA near me. It seems lots of people are trying to sell baked goods are farmers markets near me. If you have any suggestions about how to stand out I would appreciate it. Best, Ashley
