My journey from fat to fit.

I got rid of 50, now I'm working on the last bit. I know I can maintain because I've been maintaining the 50 pound loss, but I want to see an 80 pound loss in the end.

I've had excuses before, I even had legitimate ones. I got rid of the clutter in the house, the medical issues in the family, the credit card debt and the toxic apartment. I no longer have excuses.

I may live in an apartment, but it has a south facing balcony, I am growing a garden in pots again this year. I love fresh vegetables whenever I can get them, especially right off the plant. My garden consists of container sized vegetables and herbs. I started a bigger garden at my Mother's house since she has a backyard that can support bigger plants like melons and squashes.

I won't let excuses rule my life, every excuse can be overcome. An excuse is just a challenge to figure out how to do something different.

My Goals:
My ultimate goal is to be able to buy a bra off the rack at Target again.

I'll take a new picture of myself once every 5 pounds to see my progress.

Making exercise part of my normal routine whenever I can fit it in, which is more often that you'd think.

No mindless snacking, especially at night when it's time to relax.

Mini Goal #1, under 200 pounds: 5-22-12

Mini Goal #2, halfway point, 190 pounds: 6-28-12

Mini Goal #3, No longer Obese, 185 pounds: 8-6-12

Mini Goal #4, 20% gone, 184 pounds: 8-6-12

Mini Goal #5, lowest married weight, 175 pounds: 2-2-13

My Program:
I've been watching my food intake with SparkPeople and getting some exercise. I walk in the park whenever I have time which happens more often during the school year. I'm working on 10,000 steps a day.

Basically it's less junk food and more movement.

Personal Information:
I'm a Minnesota mom of 2 elementary school aged kids with a helpful husband that hides his junk food if it comes home.

I bough a disco-like like fo th apartment. It may be a little tooo much, so I am only going to turn it on at night. Made a fantasti birthday cake last week with pudding, miracle whip, and yogurt. Have fun! I am doing very poorly at losing 20 or 30 pounds, but at least I'm not gaining a lot!

emoticon is still drinking like a fish. Oh well.

Was thinking of you today, hope you are okay and the family too. We are having an extreme cold snap now, but I am marching in place a lot the last two days and feel nice and warm. I am starting a serious spring cleaning so I can then do some fun things later when spring hits.

How about this: put the cookies/sweets into a tin that can be LOCKED and we don't have the combination/key?!!!
