Caiti J

Hi :) I'm Caiti, I'm 24 and continuing my weightloss, and as always striving for a higher level of success. Trying to remember to always raise the bar and be stepping up to it at every opportunity. There is always room for improvement and a strong will to always try to achieve it. I am learning daily that telling myself no and not being a spoiled adult is one of the most difficult and important things that contributes to my success. I will always remind myself how good it feels to look at over sweetened junk food and say "No thanks!"

A little more about me. I have struggled with weight my whole life. When I was in junior high, I was chunky, when I was in highschool I lost a few pounds. I was low carb dieting, weighing in at 155. After highschool was where the real trouble began for me.
I worked dead end jobs, ate what I wanted to and partied on a regular basis. This continued on until I was about 20, when I was weighing in at 221 pounds. I found out that I was pregnant, at about 38 weeks of pregnancy I weighed 256.
When my son was three months old I weighed 242 and decided it was time for weightloss. I low carb dieted my way dow to 212 pounds but eventually gave up after hitting an unshakable plateau. I stayed at 218 for a very long time after that. After a bad week of eating and doing whatever I wanted, I shot up to 223. That was when I decided it was time for me to do it healthy. I started researching and looking for a calorie counter online. That is when I stumbled into SP.

Since finding SP, I have never felt so strong or accomplished. With SP I have not only met but exceeded my goals time and time again. Dealing with food cravings has always been difficult, but I now only have a simple choice to make. I also was able to use my Spark skills to quit smoking...COLD TURKEY! I can't imagine my life without SP, where would I be? Still yoyo dieting? Having a heart attack? Unhappy!

My Goals:
I want to weigh in at 125. I want to find a better job.
I want to be a success story, it would be a dream come true!

My Program:
I eat between 1,200-1,300 caloreis a day. I eat every two hours, and plan each of me meals at the beginning of the day, so that I am not tempted to over eat or munch on things I should not eat.

I try to burn at least 1,510 calorie or more per week.

Personal Information:
My name is Caiti, I'm from Tennesse. I'm here to continue my weightloss efforts. I started at 242 pounds and on my own lost a measly 19 pounds over a one year period...since starting SP in the same amount of time I have lost a whopping 91 pounds!!!

Other Information:
Over time I have found that weight loss isn't so difficult, for me, it's al a matter of keeping track and being accountable. Though I did recently hit an unshakable plateau...I did the math and realized that in order to lose one poound a week I need to burn 2100 calories a week. This is 900 tacked on to my usual 1200 per week! Once again...it's the tracking of the exercise and being accountable that is keeping me to it.

Those are some good looking recipes you posted. I'm definitely going to have to try the sweet potato fries. I love making my own fries, and sweet potato ones are the best.
