Reaching My Goals!

I lost 16 pounds on my own (with the encouragement and support of my handsome hubby). Though, if I take a look back over my weight gain over the years, I've lost much more than just 16 pounds over the course of 5/6 years. At my biggest, I was probably 200 pounds and a size 18. My sister introduced me to this site to help me push through my plateau and lose that final 5 to 10 pounds.

My sister introduced me to this site to help me push through my plateau and lose that final 5 to 10 pounds.

I have struggled with weight all of my life. I wasn't really ever taught how to eat right, exercise and lead a healthy lifestyle. I'm a southerner - so I grew up on all of the traditional southern foods - and it showed!! So I'm on a journey to lead a healthy life now and I am hopeful that this lifestyle will carry over into my daughter's life and she will not struggle with weight the way I have.

I have learned to enjoy the feeling that exercise gives me. Do I particularly enjoy the exercise part?? - well, not really - but I have a feeling of accomplishment when I'm done. Exercise is time that I spend on myself... I'm improving myself and it feels good!

The cherry on top of this "sundae" would be to be able to spread this healthy lifestyle on to others - people seeing me and thinking - okay, she's just a normal gal - if she can do it then I can too.

My Goals:
I want to lose 5 to 10 more pounds... but ultimately my goal is to be toned.

My Program:
Calorie counting: 1500 calories per day. Working out for one hour, 6 days a week. 30 minutes of strengthening and 30 minutes on my stationary bike.

I like how she had rewards for each goal too, but for right now weight goals seem a little far fetched. It might be better if I make goals that don't have to do with pounds since the scale hates me at the moment.

Yeah, thats awesome that you made it into the 130's. I'm trying to get out of them. Yesterday I was 130.5 and today 130.7. I'm so happy for you. emoticon

A great joke that you especially will enjoy.

A wife says to her husband: Last night there were two pieces of cake in this pantry and now there is only one. How do you explain that?

Husband: I guess it was so dark that I didn't see the other piece.
