I joined SparkPeople Sept 2008.... Two years later, and I'm still hanging around. Suprisingly enough, I've proven it to myself, and anyone that wants in a secret..... YOU CAN DO THIS!! It's in you!! You ARE capable. Yes, YOU!

I know... I was there. Originally filled with self doubt. I had no real idea that I actually set out and accomplish this feat. But, I was blessed. I found a small group, originally just 4 of us, that bounded ... made that unusual connection .... and ...

I know... I was there. Originally filled with self doubt. I had no real idea that I actually set out and accomplish this feat. But, I was blessed. I found a small group, originally just 4 of us, that bounded ... made that unusual connection .... and challenged, pushed each other to make good on our commitment to lead a healthy lifestyle. Tracked my food -- an essential. Incorporated ACTIVITY into my lifestyle -- another key. And, found it was paying off.

Then, I became a Pirate... a nasty rum lovin' Perwinkle Pirate. Shiver me timbers, before I knew it, I dropped a total of 40 pounds, 3 dress sizes ... and, it was noticable. And, oh so rewarding. Suprising... yes! Difficult ... at times! (More than I'll admit.) Did I underestimate myself... who doesn't?!?! But, low and behold, I DID IT! (And, so can you!)

I'm not an athelete. I'm not a health nut. I didn't starve myself. And, I was never on a diet. I ate right... and, I incorporate "activity" into my life. There she blows.... Let failure go... embrass your successes!!!

(Jan2011) Starting back at it again! It's been a crazy wild year plus.... no more. I'm taking the helm, and sailing a new course. I know these waters, and I determined to starting throwing this unwanted balast overboard. Arrrrgh you with me??? Cast off Mateys... Here we go!!!

1/05/2011 SW: 170 (Boy, does that hurt)
Goal: 159 in 12-weeks

9/1/2008: SW 187
12/15: Met my goal (165 lbs)!!!
12/31: No Holiday weight gain. (My goal)
1/16: Convention - "You look terrific!" (They noticed.)
2/11: Good-bye to 160 lbs (Whoo Hoo)
3/1: Lost 30 lbs
4/1: Good-bye to 155 lbs (BLC9 GW)
5/20: Hello to 149.2 lbs! (Size 8 pants Fit!)
5/30: Told that I have "Michelle Obama Arms" - Yea Me!
8/29/2009: One Year Anniversay - 40 lbs down!

(Aug08) Here I am.... With a 50+ hr/week job in mfg. mgmt, and young kids at home, I don't find alot of time to exercise. Eating out on the weekends is typical. In time, my weight has slowly crept up. People tell me I look great, because I'm tall and can "carry it off". Well, I would like to TAKE IT OFF. Wish me success

My Goals:
2011: Turning 50 this year, and fully committed to dropping below 140 lbs. and getting back to a size 8.

One Year Later: Improve my fitness & strength. Continue to embrass a healthy lifestyle. Keep up with my kids!

Original Goal: I've got a big business convention the middle of January 2009. This is just one of my interim motivators in my drive to drop my weight and embrass a healthier life style. My long-term motivator is to have more endurance to keep up with my very active kids.

My Program:
This has worked for ME!
(a) Eat healthy - track calories/nutrition everyday!
(b) Include exercise/cardio in my weekly routine.
(c) Drink my water.

Personal Information:
Just finished living in a hotel for over a year, which I commuted back'n forth on the weekends between PA and IN. Now, that I've gotten the family relocated, and we're settled in, I'm ready to sail the BLC seas again.

Favorite Hobbies: (1) doing things with my kids, (2) fishing, (3) cooking for company, (4) reading, and (5) gardening.
Favorite TV Shows: The Closer, Law & Order, and So You Think You Can Dance.
Most Admired: My husband - He's the greatest! (Double that)

Okay, so I dropped out of existence for awhile, sorry! But I'm back in time for 8/17 for BLC17!! Are you coming to play?

How are things at work? With the kids? My treadmill doesn't even recognize me anymore! We have GOT to double date again, cause I'm sure you will inspire me!
