Family, Music and Rollerskating are my PASSIONS!

On my 47th birthday, I made a commitment to give myself the gift of a new body. Starting with a total of fifty pounds total to lose, I made it to the halfway point on June 25, 2010. I am working towards being a vibrant, active, fit, and inspiring mom to my 7 year old daughter, and an energetic and sexy wife to my husband!

My third and most recent passion in life is ROLLERSKATING! Yes, you heard it right! My daughter and I signed up for skating lessons together (see pic at left). Did you know you can burn 700-1500 calories per session? We are having a blast. I'm learning how to skate backwards!!!

Taking a long walk to the cafeteria at work every day to refill my water bottle and squeak in 15 minutes of walking 5 days a week

Barb, I think it's the time of year we just need to try that much harder to stay focused. So long as we make it through the holidays in enough of a groove that we're able to go at it full speed ahead come the new year, I think we'll be okay. We just can't get that far astray that we don't make it back into the fold. Having a basement workout room is exciting! I bet that helps a lot with your goals. P90X, huh? I plan to start a weight training program and having the P90X master (Jasper) be my trainer.

But something you said in particular caught my eye:

"My body WILL be unrecognizable by my 48th birthday in May."

My 48th birthday is in May. May 20, to be exact. When is yours? I'm thinking I need to renew my commitment and get some solid fitness goals on the table. A weekly mileage goal, along with consistent weight training, and I'm guessing I can join you in being unrecognizable.

Yep, you and I have a game of inspiration pong going. I love it!
