In 2014, doctors found that I was diabetic and I just had surgery for a frozen shoulder.

The findings of the diabetes delayed surgery for a while.

Now, I've gotten through the surgery just fine, only my body has these shoulder and chest muscles that are so weak because I had not used them for a year.

What an adventure. Now the shoulder wants to work, but one side just isn't ready to do as much work as the other one.....retraining is in store. Oh well. ...

I've been cleared for swimming and I have to admit that I look a bit lopsided in the water because my arms are not in sync.

LOL. and my sense of humor fluxuates. Like one moment, I think...things will never change, and at other moments I'm surprised by the movements that I regain.

Have you heard of "Silver Sneakers" classes? I have two knee surgeries under my belt, and a recently fractured knee and was in a wheelchair for two months, three months ago. After EXTENSIVE physical therapy to get me moving again, I went back to the YMCA. I ride a great knee/hip bike, but the Silver Sneakers classes are the best thing ever. They allow you to exercise while sitting in a chair. You get a great workout, either with cardio, regular exercise or yoga. Might be a fun thing to try. I found that when I am in a room with other folk who have aches and pains, it makes my exercise easier and much more fun. Good luck. Coming back isn't easy, but the alternative is worse!

Yes! Buying extra food to save trips is a classic way that I avoid being mindful and healthy in my food habits. Thank you.

Thanks so much for your support yesterday. It's been a tough few weeks, and it really helps to feel like I'm not alone out here. Hope you have a great weekend!
