Hold the mayo... and the peanut butter and the oil and the cheese and the dressing and the butter!
Weigh-ins of Christmas Past: I lost 15 lbs when I was a freshman in college because I was homesick. It wasn't worth it, though, because I was too depressed to eat and I couldn't enjoy my skinnier body. I ended up getting happy and gaining it all back... probably because I met my boyfriend. Boys make girls fat. Then I broke up with him, lost ten pounds, met a new boy, and gained it all back. I'm sticking to my first hypothesis. This boyfriend will be easier to diet with though. ...
He actually eats vegetables. I broke up with him, too. LOL Now I've been single for well over a year, and I'm not blaming my weight on anyone but ME. Since 8/08, I have decided to start eating a more innate diet. Like the stuff our bodies are programmed to eat: low carbs (wheat, corn) --Agricultural revolution really made people fat. high fat (the good kind!) olive oil, nuts, avocados, etc. And higher protein. This is challenging for me because I'm not a fan of meat. I've discovered, unfortunately, that meat really makes me full. Vegetables and nuts don't, grilled chicken does. It's sad but I've been trying to eat this way for a week now and my stomach has already flattened out some and my skin has cleared up. So... sweet! And it's not even hard. I dont feel deprived at ALL! Oh, gosh! I need to eat like that again!!! (9/15/11) Resources for this diet: http://www.thewellnesspractice.com http://www.marksdailyapple.com UPDATE: 9/3/08 I'm too broke to afford to eat an innate diet, so I'm just going to try and go low carb instead until I can spend my money better. I hate salad. It wilts before I can eat it all. AND starting today, I'm counting calories again. That worked really well last summer :) UPDATE: 4/12/10 I'm back to attempting the innate diet! I just finished my first marathon. I've been going all over the scale because I lost a ton of weight when my ex and I broke up, but now I'm dating an amazing new man, and I'm happy and fat again. So It's time to get down to business. I'm gonna be in a wedding in 2 months!!! UPDATE: 10/14/10 Here I am again!!! Trying to get comfortable in my own skin. Trying to make friends with the scale. SO I have a new desk job. 40 hours a week sitting in a chair=no good. But i am teaching classes at the gym still: 5:15AM Group Power Tue, Th. Spin at 7:00PM on Tuesdays, and Group Power on Sundays at 2:00PM. Also kickboxing 7:00 pm on Monday and Wednesday. Plus marathon training... -------------STATS--------------- HEIGHT: 5'8''- ish WEIGH-INS: 2007 6/1: 161 *panic* 7/1: 156 8/1: 150 9/1: 151 ...plateau-ish. 10/1: 151 11/1: 151 12/1: 155 2008 1/1: 156... this is just bad. 1/28: 151.5 yay! 2/1: 154.5 3/1: 151 4/1: 152 5/1: 155 6/1: 156 7/1: 158 Ok, so I ate at shake's a couple of times. 8/1: 155 9/1: 160... seriously. 2010: (Back after short hiatus) 1/1: 151 2/2: 155 3/1: 158 4/1: 161 10/1: 160 ACCOMPLISHMENTS: 10/13/07: I ran my first 10k!
