I started my lifestyle change 5/30/11 at a starting point of 180 lbs. I'm going to aim for a loss of at least 1-2 lbs per week, as I feel this will help me achieve my end goal (130 lbs) by May 2012. As of this summer, however, I'd like to lose about 20 lbs :) Here's to a better tomorrow!

Also, I'm 5'3.5 if anyone is curious :)

So, I took a break from sparkpeople for a while...but not from my weight loss :) I'm almost to my initial goal (130 lbs), however I now want to get "fit," as I have not developed a consistent exercise regime. Hopefully starting college with help me jumpstart my day-to-day activity (and help me get to 125 lbs :) ).

My Goals:
Lose 50 pounds by May 30th 2012 (reward: laptop)

Lose 20 pounds Summer 2011 (actual: 15.4 pounds, definitely a great start :) )

Lose at least 5 pounds (and a lot of inches) on the thirty day shred (mid october)

Be ~155 by mid November (5% challenge)




My Program:
I don't count calories (don't shoot me) because I get really obsessive and often eat under my calorie range (counter intuitive, right?) Normally I just eat what I want; however, "want" is very relative. Basically, I eat things I like that are also healthy (or relatively healthy). In doing so, I hope to actually be able to stick to my lifestyle (I don't know how anyone could ever cut bread out of their life...but to each their own). I try to stick to wraps, salads (mostly Caesar with limited dressing), and turkey sandwiches. I cannot cook to save my life, so there's that :)

Right now I'm currently doing the thirty day shred (day 6 is tonight!) and I am trying to incorporate more cardio into my life.
