Almost 2 years ago the Dr said that if I didn't get serious about my health then my life would be considerably shortened. Diet was the only real answer. Then I turned to SP not as much a way to loose weight as a way to track my diet and meet the goals I had. It has turned into a journey that I have been able to stay on my diet because of the encouragement I receive here and make major life style changes.
Perhaps your need to refocus your outlook and not consider this another diet, but a change toward better health to take you into new areas in your life.
I agree... the older we get the harder it is to get the weight off...I am doing it for self-gratification... I want to feel better, look better and be able to accomplish new and exciting adventures in my "older" age, 68! I find that changing my place of eating, cutting portions in half, drinking water when hunger hits (not time to have a snack or meal) and learning to eat nutritionally have helped me to begin the weight lose... adding you as a friend 2419 days ago
