I've grown up all over the east coast. I was a navy brat. I still don't like staying in one place to long. I did my time in the Air Force. I put in three years but got sick and had to get out. I have body dysmorphia.

Hope you're feeling better and having a nice weekend! We've had a full houseful....one daughter sick, one home from college and very needy...lol, the third has herself holed up in her room. The puppy's gained a few more pounds! Up to about 20! Glad I don't gain weight that fast!

Hi, thanks for dropping by my blog. I did do the doula course a couple of years ago but because I was/am working full time I've never been able to actually do it. I'm now applying to do midwifery (in the UK they are the primary carers for pregnancy and deliver every baby. The only thing they don't do is c-sections but they'll still be present supporting their clients) and have got an interview in Dec which I'm very excited about!

Am happy to talk to all and sundry about it all though I just can't offer any personal insights emoticon

Regarding the situps/crunches..... my doctor made it VERY clear to me that I was never to do them. That she had given me a six pack and that the muscles are nice and tight, if i did situps/crunches I would probably do damage to what she did with the surgery. I was quite happy to hear that and am quite content in never doing them, ever. So, you may want to ask your surgeon about those, you may need to do them a special way or something to keep from actually pushing your ab muscles back out again.

I just went for my 9 mos followup appt. She was very happy to see the waist & ab definition I have now that I have lost a ton of bloating from my food intolerances. I have lost about 8 lbs and no more puffyness. Looks much better. I'm still numb, which she said was normal - about an 8" wide circle around my belly button.

My suggestion for your middle would be to maybe cut down on gluten containing foods. From what I've learned & experienced those foods can cause a lot of bloating. When I cut out dairy, gluten,soy, corn etc..... the pounds literally fell off of me. It was so crazy weird.

I'm pretty sure my puppy sleeps during the day when I am not home, but this hasnt been a problem until this week :( I am definitely not getting her a playmate though. I dont have that kind of patience as a single gal! Once she gets her rabies vaccine in a few weeks I am going to take her to doggie daycare once a week, and also to a puppy training class once a week. I am hoping two days of social interaction will help tire her out during the week. Also, if the weather ever stops being crappy, I can start taking her for walks again! I have been playing with her for about 2 hours every night after work before bed, but 2 hours is apparently not enough for her. She's still a puppy so one day we'll get this all figured out, I'm sure!
