I joined SparkPeople in April 2007 after I realized how difficult it was for me to get up off the floor when working with little ones at my internship. Over the course of the next year, I lost 45 pounds.
Now nearly three and a half years later, I am working full time, planning a wedding, and hoping to lose those last ten pounds!
I'd like to be comfortable with my body again come May, even if I'm not yet at my goal weight.
Strength training 2-3 times per week for a half hour.
Cardio 3-4 times per week for a half hour to an hour.
All foods in moderation.
I'm a speech-language pathologist who lives half the week in the "big city" and half the week in a semi-rural funky college town.
I love working with children with communication disorders, particularly autism spectrum disorders and speech sound disorders.
I like watching TV (Bravo, Discovery Health, and Food Network), doing fun cultural things (theater, music, art, independent movies), traveling, reading, scrapbooking, sewing and spending time with friends.
I'm marrying the love of my life on September 24, 2011!

Hey! Good to see you around the boards again, now that we're down on the Farm together. I was out of synch for a while, so I lost track of some people.
Hope school is going well -- did you go to the MLK celebration? It's been a while since I went (esp. since I left Beantown 8 years ago -- I can't believe it's been that long!), but the last time I went, it was FREEZING!

First of all... you ate steak?! Whoa. It MUST be good. In light of you stepping out of the food box, I picked up a salmon Lean Cuisine. I need more fish in my diet anyway. (Yikes!) I'm tackling chili world tomorrow since I realized I bought the Mexican Lasagna ingredients almost a week ago. No sense in wasting good food! It came out great, by the way. If you're ever in a Tex Mex kind of mood, I'd recommend it. :o) Oh ps, sadly I found one last serving of skillet lasagna when I cleaned out my freezer. It's still in there in case my allergy goes away. Hey, you never know. Hope you had a good dinner w/Laura!
