His Grace is sufficient for me.
Who I will be!
I am 40 years old, and have finally gotten serious about my weight loss and health. September 02, 2008 I had the Roux-en-y Gastric Bypass. I was terrified, but so far I have only had minor complications. I am doing well, working the program and embracing lifestyle changes.
I still use the nutrition and fitness trackers to track my daily achievements. I have a very good support group here that is helping me get through this journey.
To use my faith and my knowledge to develop a healthy lifestyle. One in which I will not only nourish my soul, but nourish my body as well. To learn to discern between nutritional hunger, medicinal hunger and emotional hunger, and only eat to satisfy the nutritional hunger.
I am praying, and trying to eat healthier. I am working with an endcrinologist to determine if there is an underlying medical condition that has been undiagnosed that has added to my weight issues.
I am currently living in the Indianapolis Area. Spent several years in Fort Walton Beach, FL, with all the bikini bunnies. Feel more at home in the midwest - more overweight people around here. Although one of my goals is to be able to visit FL, again, and not feel like a beached whale.
My Motto is FROG4ALL (Fully Rely On God for All Things) Until recently, I thought that meant all major things, now I realize that my health and my weight are things in which God can take control if I allow Him to. No, He won't let me wake up a size 5 tomorrow, I have to do the work, but He can guide my steps and give me Strength, when I am weak. Often the strength will come from the posts I read here.
