New Resolve

I'm a busy mom of three kids. I've seemed to have turned a corner now that two are in school- my time is more flexible and I'm resolved to getting back to my old self- or a better version of me, at least!

I'm finding it incredibly difficult to lose weight. Is my metabolism at 32 really that bad? I have hypothyroidism, but that's being controlled with medication. I find the only way to make progress is to be diligent, presistant and choose to continue with the journey- however ...

My mantra seems to be... it's better to keep making healthy choices even if you don't see immediate results. Eventually my body will move forward.

I find if I keep the big picture of things in mind, I am seeing progress. I really want FAST and IMMEDIATE results- but those just don't work for me. I've tried. When I look at the big picture I find that I am losing (on average) a pound per week. It doesn't feel like it when it's all in my regular fluxuation- but it's true.. the weight is coming off.

And even if I only lose 4 pounds per month- that's still 4 new pounds per month and I'll be greatful by next summer that I stuck with it.

My goal is to keep weight loss at or above 1 pound per week. I track and exercise about everyday.

My Program:
Currently trying carb cycling. Will probably implement on a regular basis. Hopeing to start Turbo Fire after the New Year when I can really dedicate the time.

Other Information:
I really enjoy traveling, my most recent short trip was to Brazil.

I also would like to get into running, but it's hard to find the time to run with little ones around. My husband has run a few trail runs, so my hope is to drop some weight and join him next year!
