Just me!

I have been debating long and hard about this coming year. I have come to a conclusion....there will be NO NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS!! Why, you may ask? Well, because it is going to be MORE than a new years resolution. It is going to be a NEW LIFE RESOLUTION! Because this is something that needs to be around for the rest of my life, not just for a year!

Now for a bit of background on me:
Where to start, where to start? Well, lets see...I am determined to get at least half this ...

Well, because it is going to be MORE than a new years resolution. It is going to be a NEW LIFE RESOLUTION! Because this is something that needs to be around for the rest of my life, not just for a year!

Now for a bit of background on me:
Where to start, where to start? Well, lets see...I am determined to get at least half this weight off by the end of the year. I need to be more consistent about going to the gym, because that really helps me. I get discouraged maybe not easily, but often. My downfall is salt and breads/pastas.

My mom was diabetic. My dad can eat a horse and never gain an ounce. So I can't honestly say we had good eating examples because dad insisted everyone clean their plate and mom, well, loved her dearly, but, she was an emotional eater. Both parents suffered depression of one sort or another.

I used to look like a flippin twig till I hit mid to late 20's. Then I wasn't overweight, I was just right. After my daughter came along, it was real hard to lose weight, mainly because I had never had to worry about it. Since neither of my parents worried about weight loss, I never learned that skill. I remember telling my mom one time "Mom, you can eat what you want to, just do it in moderation!" Oh ya, she is so up there laughing at me now.

I have been married to a wonderful man since '02 and he supports my lifestyle changes...as long as I don't try to bring him into them! He likes his beer, German dogs and mac 'n cheese. He makes the best potato salad I have ever tasted! We met on a blind date at a BBQ, and he brought his "famous" potato salad. I told him thats the real reason I married him!

So, now I am trying to set good examples for my daughter. She is far from overweight, but then, once upon a time, so was I. I need to get back to "once upon a time" so my personal faerie tayle can have a happier ending.

My Goals:
I want to get down to about 145. Not setting a time line, because that will set me up to fail. I was in 160's for about 1 1/2 yrs. Prior to that I was in 180's for EVER!! Now I am over 200. I am struggling.

My Program:
I am trying real hard to stay consistant with doing 1/2 hr of cardio on M-W-F and then 20 min of strength T-TH-weekends. I may do more, but try to get that much as a minimum. Now to stick with it! I also bowl every Saturday from October-March.

Personal Information:
I live in Spokane, WA. I like to walk when weather permits. I have allergies to a lot of spring stuff.

Other Information:
I love sailboats and pirates. I read a lot of romance novels.

emoticon emoticon Now hear this Bunnies!! We have a Throw Down challenge with the Honeys today!!

Which ever team can post the highest number of fitness minutes per team member today, takes this week's bragging rights!! So KEEP TRACK of ANY FITNESS minutes you do today, whether it be housework, fitness videos,jogging, yard work,gym workout, swimming, aerobics, walking, running, bicycling, Strength training, yoga, hiking,canoeing, kayaking, washing the car by hand, mowing, and lots more!!!!

Let's boot up our workouts and increase our fitness minutes. Sneak in some additional minutes throughout the day. When you go to the bathroom, do two minutes of WPUs, dance to your favorite tunes during commercial breaks, take a walk over your lunch hour, dust off your fitness dvds, etc.

Let's rock this challenge today by BURNIN" some BEE BOOTYs!!! emoticon emoticon
