I have been on Spark People for over a year now. It has taken a long time and although I have lost a lot of inches, it took almost a year for the weight to start coming off. I am finally, finally, finally losing weight. Yay!

I did get frustrated for a time and sort of "left" Spark People, but decided to get back on when my husband's job was in jeopardy. We still don't know if he will have a job with this company after the first of the year, but SP has become a place I can come ...

I did get frustrated for a time and sort of "left" Spark People, but decided to get back on when my husband's job was in jeopardy. We still don't know if he will have a job with this company after the first of the year, but SP has become a place I can come and speak my mind and my frustrations. We cannot tell family and friends yet, because we don't want to face the constant questions we can't answer.

You have helped me through my fears and helped me to calm down. I visit you when I can....which is not always often enough....and love you all!

Hi! Wow! how time flies when we're having fun!

I've been really busy and enjoying the festivities of the Easter season (which is my favorite holiday by the way) and now I'm about to get ready for some over night company that will be here in the early afternoon tomorrow then we will be getting ready to go to the coast for some fun and relaxation. When the sun comes out...I go out! It's great!

How about you? Have you been busy or are you getting ready for BBQ season/summer which will be upon us very soon now!

I read that persimmons have high levels of fiber, potassium, magnesium, calcium and antioxidants which are all super weapons against atherosclerosis! Who knew?

Have a great week and a great Mother's Day on the 8th!

emoticon Hi again!
You know me; I've been reading again... emoticon
I just read that a spoonful of cooked black rice packs the same amount of anthocyanins as a spoonful of fresh blueberries, but with less sugar and more fiber and vitamin E. I'm not sure that rice is a fruit substitute in that case though; I'll have to give that some food for thought!
emoticon I'm waiting impatiently for the spring sunshine to come; emoticon I know it's out there somewhere, it just hasn't broke through our continual thick cloud cover yet.

I hope you are getting some nice weather where you are! Take care and have a wonderful weekend!

I just read a cure for bad Mondays!

It said that when you're feeling groggy or foggy to sniff ground
sage for an energy boost. Research showed that sage aroma
suppresses the enzyme acetylcholinesterase that prevents the
brain's ability to feel alert and happy! Not only that, but aromatherapy
experts say sage can improve mental focus AND memory!

My personal suggestion is...fresh ground or a good brand of coarse
ground sage. The cheap stuff is very offensive to my nose.

While here, I have noticed your weight ticker is moving down
again by 3.6 pounds! Way to go! Keep up the good work!

Have a great week and remember to stay focused!
