Back in my younger days, I played tennis, ran around and ate and drank w/o a care. When I started having fertility issues, I also started gaining weight. One day though I woke up to realize that that my actions had taken me to an unhealthy place. I want to be health again. I want to be (mostly) soda free. I want to walk up even just one flight of stairs w/o feeling winded. I want to play w/my kids more. I want my healthy life back!

In year 2017,I'm taking my life back, one day at a time. I'm going to start exercising again and trying to eat more healthy, and especially drink more water. I would love for my children to see that people can turn around and that healthy living is thousands times better than not.

I read this on someone else's page and liked it enough to have it here:

Apostle Paul to the Corinthians: "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body." (1 Corinthians 6:19).

Fitness Minutes: 17,335

My Goals:
I want to run a 5k w/o walking part of it.

I'd like to have less cushion.

I want to be active with my son and daughter and teach them that incorporating fitness and activity as well as eating a nutritional diet in your own life is a must.

I want my sweet babies to think of the word diet not as a weight loss plan but as the way you eat.

I WILL cut sodas out.

My Program:
Forget about yesterday, walk and do core strengthing today. Eventually, I want to jog regularly again because I actually enjoy it the last time. So I'm going to enter in a couple of running events this year. On top of that since water is the only thing that doesn't make me want to gag after any kind of work out, I will eventually cut sodas out of my daily diet.

    Hi,

Thanks for your comment on my Fitbit stats posting today. I have a Fitbit Blaze. It's not a GPS, but it acts as a GPS when I carry my cell phone with me. It syncs to the cell phone and then is able to track the route that I run, walk, or bike. I really like it. It does everything I would want in a tracker - except count my swim strokes. But that's ok. I'm not an avid swimmer, although I am a triathlete. I just don't wear it during the swim portion of the race. The Blaze is $199.

I'm glad I didn't get the Fitbit Surge - the one that is a GPS in and of itself - because the watch is much larger to accommodate the GPS device.

    Happy tracking!

Hey, Thanks for keeping in touch. So good to hear good news. I'm trying to get back into a better routine and adjusting since the passing of my Dad. Mostly enjoying our grandson who soon will turn 5. Hope you have a wonderful summer.

emoticon For your comment on my blog. I've actually said something similar to that before, like "be mad at unhealthy food for what it's done to us"... I just never thought about it with my coffee & tea.
I'm actually more of a green tea drinker, but I love honey in it. But on a lot of days, I would still have 1 or 2 cups of coffee with cream & sugar, plus 2 or 3 cups of tea with honey & cream. When I looked back at my history through the 'trend' app on spark, I saw that my carbs from just those things brought my day waaaay up on carbohydrate counts. If I just have 1, with just 1 tsp of sugar or honey, it's only 4 grams of carbs.
So after my induction, I'll probably just have 1 cup in the morning, and 1 cup of tea at night. Green tea doesn't effect my sleep. That will be 8 carbs, and i'll just have to budge for it. But induction is to tight to budget for it right now.
The only 'replacement' for it would be to use artificial sweetener, and I'm not going to do that. I'm hoping that this next full week of no sugar coffee or honey tea will break me of it.. We'll see.
keep up your good work. You are doing fabulous! emoticon
