I first joined Sparkpeople March 2010, but in December I started anew, I've been going steady since.
I decided to change my life after my son was born. I want to be able to play with him and keep up with him. He's active, as most kids are, and I want to be healthy for him and myself.
I want to lose about 60 pounds. To reach this goal I'm working out everyday. I run, play my Wii, workout to DVDs, and lift weights. I'm eating healthy, drinking lots of water, getting plenty of sleep, and making use of the trackers everyday.
I'm learning to take control of my life. I'm more organized. I use a journal to keep track of tasks, and make daily checklists so nothing is forgotten.
I am a positive, optimistic person, and am not easily discouraged and this is because I don't try to do everything at once. I've broken my goal down to losing at least 8 pounds a month. I'm focused too. When you want something bad enough-the motivation is there. I also use SP teams and challenges to keep the spark alive. I try different workouts so I don't get bored and try to use that as an excuse to quit.
