"...getting your mind set is the key."

My Weight-loss Story:

My journey began when I was grade nine (2002), at 177 pounds and climbing. My weight was caused my poor diet and depression. It was April 20th/02, which it says on my blood test form, that I got my "scare" to loss weight. It's amazing what you could learn from a drop of blood and that's how it started.

I was put on pills and a strict diet to reverse my "future" health problems, which showed it's proccess quiclkly. A year afterwards, I was 145 pounds/ 30 + pounds loss. From 2003-2005, I did gain some of my weight back, but I did catch from inceasing more. In fall 2003-2004, I took my first fitness coarse in secondary school and had no clue what I put myself into. At the end of the semester, I realized that running wasn't too difficult, it's getting you mind set is the key.

After my phys-ed coarse, in Mar. '05, I decided to join my local YMCA. It wasn't until Sept. 05, with my motivation for running, that I began losing the majority of my weight.

Moving on to 2006, I began my second semester with another fitness coarse with my former teacher. My motivation and fight was threw the roof this time around and it showed. Speaking of my 06' phys-ed class always puts a grin on my face :D. I graduated that year at 133 pounds, seven pounds under my goal weight.

From 2006-2010, my excersises had a few loops in its path. I went from almost falling off the treadmil to practicing martial arts. For awhile martial arts was my life, but in time my excitement faded and decided to give it up. My excersises switched once again to swimming lengths and using the weight-room as my weekly routines.

That brings my story to the present, 2011 to be exact. It's now been 6 years since I join the YMCA and almost 9 years all together with my weight-loss. I went threw many struggles personnally... from family problems to losing a loved one. Made and found many friends allong the way, acouple that still close to my heart. I'm hoping one day, in the days to come, I could be retested to see how far my heath has come.

Boy it was so nice to hear you and your family are doing well. My health has been like a yo-yo, up and down. I have gain almost all my weight back and I'm so sick of it but other than that life been good, lol. Yep the weather has been bad here, I'm so thankful it hasn't done much to me or my apt. My son has been living with his dad now for over two year, boy that seem like a long time. He is working and driving me nuts with texting on the phone.

Did you get more belts? Did you get your blue belt yet? or was it a brown belt? See I can't remember. Hope you did because I know you can do it.

I better go for now, this time I have sparkpeople bookmark so I don't forget to get on. My computer went down on me awhile back so I have to bookmark everything again. Oh, do you get on facebook? You can find me on it if you like. I have family and friend on mine.

Take care and hope we can keep in touch more often.

Wendy

I didn't realize its been so long ago that I wrote you. Time is going by so fast and I forgot my password. How are you doing and the family? I do think about you often and wish we could get together one day. I'm going to try again to keep up with everyone again. I still can't believe how time is going by so fast.

Anyway, hope you're doing well and your family. I need to get back on here more often and chat with everyone again plus lose this weight.

Take care,
Wendy
