My Weight-loss Story:

My journey began when I was grade nine (2002), at 177 pounds and climbing. My weight was caused my poor diet and depression. It was April 20th/02, which it says on my blood test form, that I got my "scare" to loss weight. It's amazing what you could learn from a drop of blood and that's how it started.

I was put on pills and a strict diet to reverse my "future" health problems, which showed it's proccess quiclkly. A year afterwards, I was 145 pounds/ 30 + pounds loss. From 2003-2005, I did gain some of my weight back, but I did catch from inceasing more. In fall 2003-2004, I took my first fitness coarse in secondary school and had no clue what I put myself into. At the end of the semester, I realized that running wasn't too difficult, it's getting you mind set is the key.

After my phys-ed coarse, in Mar. '05, I decided to join my local YMCA. It wasn't until Sept. 05, with my motivation for running, that I began losing the majority of my weight.

Moving on to 2006, I began my second semester with another fitness coarse with my former teacher. My motivation and fight was threw the roof this time around and it showed. Speaking of my 06' phys-ed class always puts a grin on my face :D. I graduated that year at 133 pounds, seven pounds under my goal weight.

From 2006-2010, my excersises had a few loops in its path. I went from almost falling off the treadmil to practicing martial arts. For awhile martial arts was my life, but in time my excitement faded and decided to give it up. My excersises switched once again to swimming lengths and using the weight-room as my weekly routines.

That brings my story to the present, 2011 to be exact. It's now been 6 years since I join the YMCA and almost 9 years all together with my weight-loss. I went threw many struggles personnally... from family problems to losing a loved one. Made and found many friends allong the way, acouple that still close to my heart. I'm hoping one day, in the days to come, I could be retested to see how far my heath has come.
